UI/UX Design & Prototyping

Interfaces that feel obvious, because they were designed carefully.

We help you understand how people will use your product, then design flows and interfaces that make those journeys clear, efficient and pleasant.

Overview

Good UI/UX design reduces friction. It helps people find what they need, complete tasks with confidence and trust the product they are using. That comes from understanding users and making deliberate decisions — not from decoration alone.

Our UI/UX work moves from discovery to structure to polished, interactive prototypes. Each stage gives you something concrete to review, so decisions are made early, while they are still inexpensive to change.

UX research and discovery

We begin by clarifying goals, constraints and the people the product is for. Depending on scope, this can include stakeholder conversations, reviewing existing analytics or feedback, looking at comparable products and identifying the key tasks users need to complete.

Information architecture

Information architecture is how content and features are organized and labelled. We map out navigation, page hierarchy and naming so users can predict where things are — a foundation that makes every later design decision easier.

User flows

We chart the steps users take to reach their goals — signing up, finding a product, booking a service — and look for unnecessary steps, unclear decisions and missing feedback along the way.

Wireframes

Low-fidelity wireframes let us agree on layout, content priority and functionality without being distracted by color or imagery. They are fast to iterate and keep conversations focused on structure.

Visual design

Once the structure is right, we develop a visual language — typography, color, spacing, iconography and components — that reflects your brand and stays consistent across screens. Where useful, we document it as a reusable design system.

Prototyping

Interactive prototypes, typically built in Figma, let you click through key journeys before development begins. They are useful for internal reviews, stakeholder buy-in and informal usability testing.

Usability considerations

Throughout the process we design with established usability principles in mind:

  • Clear visual hierarchy and readable typography
  • Consistent patterns and predictable interactions
  • Helpful feedback, empty states and error messages
  • Accessible contrast, focus states and touch target sizes
  • Respect for user preferences such as reduced motion

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between UI and UX design?

UX (user experience) design focuses on how something works — structure, flows and usability. UI (user interface) design focuses on how it looks and feels — layout, typography, color and components. The two work best together.

Which tools do you use for UI/UX design?

We primarily design and prototype in Figma, which makes it easy for you to review work, leave comments and hand designs over to developers.

Can you design an app or product that another team will build?

Yes. We can deliver organized design files, components and annotations so your development team has what they need. We can also build web interfaces ourselves where that fits the project.

Do you run usability testing?

Where the project allows, we can run lightweight usability sessions with prototypes. The scope of any research is agreed with you upfront.
